Just astounding that Villa Esposto Chenin Blanc 2021 as made by Klawer Cellars using grapes from a 1982 Skurfberg vineyards grown by the celebrated Basie van Lill is available for the princely sum of R130 a bottle.
The nose is evocative with notes of peach, apricot, pineapple and honeysuckle while the palate is deep and rich with tangy acidity and a savoury finish. Super-concentrated and full of flavour.
